If ever a film were ripe for a sequel, it's District 9.
The low budge film was made for just $30 million and has already grossed $37 million.
It concludes - spoiler alert! - with a number of questions:
- Do Christopher and his son make it back to their home planet?
- Does Wikus ever get "fixed" and become human again?
- What happens to the aliens that were successfully transferred from District 9?
Above all, the movie has a director, Neil Blomkamp, who clearly up for another film.
''I would do anything to go back to the world of District 9 again,'' he told Entertainment Weekly last month. ''Or District 10.''
